INTERPRETING SCRIPTURES

(THESE ARE THE RULES OF SCRIPTURES BY WHICH WE CAN ATTAIN ETERNAL LIFE)

RULE 31

There are things that should be set aside for those consecrated to God. It should only be given to others if it becomes superfluous.

Thus, when the Gentile woman asked Christ to drive out the devil in her daughter, Christ answered, "Those consecrated to God, the children, must first be filled. . ." But the woman answered, "But dogs can eat the superfluous crumbs that fall under the table."

For her faith, Christ gave her what was superfluous to His Chosen people and cured her daughter.
