THOUGHTS ON PRAYER

AN EXHORTATION TO PRAYER
We ought to exhort each
other to prayer; for we have not other hope amidst the manifold evils of
this life than to knock in prayer at our Father's door. He knows what we
really need.
Imagine yourself sick and
under a physician and you ask for a drink of wine. Do not hesitate to ask
but if he hesitates to give, do not take it to heart. Now, if this is how
you will behave in the hands of a physician of the body, how much more in
the hands of the Creator and Restorer both of thy body and soul?
