BEFORE THE SHIP SINKS

Like an illness that has become chronic, the habit of wrongdoing that has become ingrained is very hard to heal. And if it turns into second nature through repeated wrongdoing, a cure is out of the question. 

So we must have no contact with evildoings. Or, at least, let us distance ourselves from evil as if running away from a poisonous snake.

There are many who in their youth let themselves slide into evil habits which have enslaved them all their lives. They are like pigs wallowing in the mire and getting dirtier everyday as they commit fresh sins.
