LOVE HUMILITY
My dearest sister Florentina,
Be humble like your Bridegroom
who, though equal to the Father, "humbled Himself even to
death." The true God became man to experience humility so that,
through His humanity, He may teach us humility.
Thus, the Mighty God allowed
Himself to be beaten with whips. He, in whose hands the universe hung,
allowed himself to be hung on the cross. Taunted, He did not taunt in
return. And to the ungrateful Jews, He prayed, "Father, forgive
them."
My sister, if you truly love
your Bridegroom, you must love His humility. Do not fear to imitate
Him because He is God; remember He became man for our imitation. He
taught humility and practiced humility. . .and He judged that humility can
be done by all.
