REBECCA

Rebecca came to draw water at the spring everyday with the daughters of the city. Because she was there daily, it was easy for her to be found by Abraham's servants and included in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.

This is an invitation to come daily to the wells of Scriptures to draw for your needs for the day. Rebecca, in fact, got so much water that she, herself, drank. . .her family, too. . .and Abraham's servants and the camels, too.

The Word of God is meant to betrothed you to God, to wed you to Christ. And this is given only to those who know how to draw from the depths of Scriptures, and draw enough to satisfy the rational and the irrational, like the camels.

The sign that included Rebecca in the genealogy of Christ was this: "She shall be the bride of the master, whosoever gives you and the camels drink." So she becomes the bride of Christ who shares the words of Scriptures to many.

So draw water daily from the wells that you may refresh yourself and others. Thirst. . .for only such souls are chosen to be the bride of Christ.
