Thou sayest well and truly that God
hath promised pardon to all who repent and promise amendment. But,
tell me, I pray thee, where can you find that He has promised you a
tomorrow? Nor doest thou know how long thou hast to live.
Therefore, reform thyself at once,
and so be always ready. Do not put off till tomorrow what is best to
be done today. To do so is madness a thousand times
multiplied.
