TRUE HAPPINESS CANNOT BE
ENHANCED BY EXTERNAL FORTUNE NOR CAN IT BE WEAKENED BY MISFORTUNE
Scriptures states that nothing
is good but what is virtuous. And virtue is not enhanced by external good
fortune, nor is it weakened by adversity. It is a state wherein one is free
from sin and is filled with innocence and grace from God.
Innocence and knowledge makes
a man blessed. A blessed man is not moved by the patronage of pleasure or
the fear of pain; thus, "Blessed are you when men shall revile you and
persecute you and shall say all manner of evil against you for righteousness
sake. . ."
