RELIGIOUS REFORMERS
The modern type of religious
reformer IN RELIGIOUS ORDERS goes merrily about and says: "I don't see
the use of this religious or ascetical practice. Let us remove it." To
whom the more intelligent type will say: "If you don't see what it is
for, the more so should you not take it away. Go first and think. Then, when
you have discovered what it is for, I will allow you to remove it."
