THE BOND OF LOVE

A Christian lives by the rule of love.  This is the narrow way which goes against the whole course of the world that tends to make all things easier, wide and broad, usually referred to as capitalism.    

Today, love is like a light shining in the darkness and this is symbolic of the true religion.  Though, occasionally, there is a sudden enthusiasm for religion, it is sudden, comes at once and goes at once.  There is no regular growth, no abiding stay.       

On the other hand, error alone grows and is received heartily. 

But for love to grow in this world and bind together family members or church members or even a nation, a few must start it.  For God uses a few to channel the blessings of his Love.  It is through the resolve and undaunted efforts of the few that many are benefited.   

It begins with one conscientiously obeying God, living a holy life and, by his example, forces those around him to tremble before the unseen power of God.  The world does not witness this.  A few will see him near enough to be influenced by his manner of living. Through God's grace, others catch his flame and, in their turn, transmit it.  So in the world of darkness, the light passes from hand to hand and binds together those who possess her.
