ST. THOMAS OF AQUINAS. . .
GOD'S LOVE
God so loved man that He sent
His only beloved Son to die for him. Such is the love of God: He
sent, not an angel or an emissary, but His own Son. If God had ten
sons, sending one might have been not so impressive. But He sent His
one and only Son, and His beloved Son at that. Such is God's love for
man.
And how do we respond to such an act of
love? By a life of slothful service to Him; by carelessness and
sloppiness. By going about doing our own wills in total disregard of
His will.
